The OM transfer window will be turned upside down by the change of coach. Jorge Sampaoli gone, it’s Igor Tudor who arrives and the latter could give an Italian accent to OM’s summer market…
Indeed, according to the Calciomercato site, the Croatian coach, former defender of Juve, would have 3 of his former players at Hellas Verone in his sights.
Giovanni Simeone, striker already targeted by OM

Striker Giovanni Simeone has been monitored by OM for several months. However, the Argentine striker is coming off a big season with a total of 17 goals and 6 assists in 37 games. The son of Diego Simeone is announced on the side of Sevilla FC and he will not be sold off. Indeed, the Italian club bought him permanently for around 10 million euros this summer. However, OM should not position themselves without the departure of one of these strikers (Milik?). For Nicolas Filhol, journalist at FCM, Simeone would be an interesting profile to take the place of the former Neapolitan:
“Him in terms of profile, you can’t tell yourself it’s more if Milik leaves. He’s not a deep player at all, he’s a striker who will do some pressing, it’s not a Bamba Dieng profile. Him, if Milik leaves, he is 26 years old, he has reached a certain maturity, it can be understood, the price does not seem prohibitive even if it will be more expensive than Milik”. Ivan Ilic, young Serbian midfielder
The young left-handed midfielder was loaned by Manchester City in 2020, before being definitively transferred to Hellas Verona in 2021 for 7.5M€. Igor Tudor would like to recover the 21-year-old who played 31 Serie A matches last season (4 goals / 6 assists). But Ilic’s good season has been noticed, Atletico Madrid, Lazio Rome or Sevilla FC would also be in the running. The price looks high!
In the event of departure from Lazio, Sergej Milinković Savić could be replaced by … Ivan Ilić!
The Hellas Verona midfielder could leave for €20 million.
The 21-year-old is also of interest to Napoli and the two Milan giants.

Adrien Tameze, the former Nice
Tameze also had a great season, he took part in 38 Serie A matches (2 goals / 4 assists). The 28-year-old midfielder would also be tracked by Naples, FC Valencia and Villarreal.
“He wants me to use my high volume of play to help the team, which I bring defensively and offensively. He likes the midfielder to come down on the line of defenders to help build up with an extra player, but also to project himself offensively around the opposing area. It is thanks to the work done in training that we can reproduce it in matches. Earlier I was saying that I was a little tired after the training session this morning, but that’s our method. It’s a lot of running, a lot of weight training, a lot of pressing and one-on-one drills. There is always intensity in the exercises and in the games. » Adrian Tameze – Source: WRC (02/19/22)
