While Les Déferlantes inaugurate their new setting at the Château d’Aubiry, in Céret, this Thursday, July 7, the organizers are planning, to facilitate access to this site for festival-goers, a large-scale device.

From Aubiry to Valmy, the Déferlantes change popular dimension. And so the reception plan, traffic, parking… At the very least, nearly 20,000 people are expected in Aubiry for Les Déferlantes from Thursday to Sunday, or even 30,000 on the last evening. “It’s complicated to quantify the attendance for the moment, but it will be a record in any case“, confide the organizers. No less than 12,000 parking spaces have been planned, divided into four places between Le Boulou, Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts and Céret.

A 15-minute walk from the Château d’Aubiry, the first car park, at the level of the old Céret station, will accommodate up to 1,500 cars from 11:30 a.m. Impossible to reach from Perpignan, you will have to pass by Maureillas. A perfect route for festival-goers from Vallespir, Argelès-sur-Mer or from Spain.

Much closer, the second car park will be located a few hundred meters from the festival, on one of the fields surrounding the castle. With a capacity of 6,000 vehicles, this parking space will also be open from 11:30 a.m.

The third car park will be located near the aquatic base of Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts, at a place called La Colomine.
2,000 places will be available from 4.30 p.m., with the possibility of taking a shuttle to Aubiry from 5 p.m.

Finally, from 4:30 p.m., the fourth car park will accommodate up to 2,500 cars near the Le Boulou motorway exit. There too, shuttles will provide rotations to bring festival-goers to the entrance to Aubiry.

Access to the Déferlantes will be possible in different ways.

The D 115 closed, except for festival-goers

To be able to ensure these trips as well as possible, the D 115 road will be closed to traffic between Céret and Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts from 5 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.

Festival-goers will still be able to take the section that connects Le Boulou to Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts in order to access the second car park, or to leave it. From 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., it will only be possible to drive towards Céret from Le Boulou. After this time, the axis will be open only in the direction allowing to rally Le Boulou from Céret.
