The second radio station in France (5.8 million daily listeners between January and March) is working hard to regain first place. As announced by our colleagues from Figaro, RTL has decided to change its program schedule for next season. A brief overview of the developments and new features already implemented.
Mixed duos on the news. Every morning, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Yves Calvi will now share the microphone with Amandine Bégot, who has already officiated in RTL’s news sections since 2017.
A development very well received by the journalist in charge of the morning, joined by telephone: “It’s a chance. I love my job, I have an energy to spare to come and present the morning news and highlight all those around me. I was offered to work with a colleague, a friend with whom I have had a real bond for many years, since she was a presenter in the segment that I host. We are going to share the antenna, she will do the major interview of the morning, that is to say the big political interview. I will be more present in the presentation of the other meetings. We work on the roles of each. I am very attached to RTL and I believe they are to me. We want a little freshness, and that’s fine. This forces me to question myself, while remaining myself. »
Later in the morning, Céline Landreau will join Pascal Praud for “RTL Midi” from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Marion Calais will accompany Julien Sellier in “RTL Soir” from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and columnist Aurélie Herbemont will be with Éric Brunet in “We remake the world” from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Julien Courbet starts at 9 a.m. “It can happen to you”. Exit “Let yourself be tempted” at 9:15 a.m. on weekdays, the cultural magazine is relegated to weekends. Julien Courbet will start earlier “It can happen to you” from Monday to Friday. He will now respond to questions from listeners from 9 a.m. until noon, and no longer from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It remains to be seen at what times his program will be broadcast simultaneously on M 6.
New comedians in the morning. If Philippe Caverivière keeps his pastille well at 7:55 a.m., he will be joined by five new humorous signatures, who will take turns each day for a chronicle at 7:25 a.m. For example, Bertrand Chameroy, who already officiates on France 5 in “C à vous”, will make his grand entrance in the morning of RTL, as well as Sébastien Thoen and Sandrine Sarroche, already on Paris Première, a channel of the M 6 group.
Mohamed Bouhafsi on Sunday. Also a columnist in “C à vous” where he offers “La story de Mohamed”, journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi joins the station where he will receive every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. a personality from entertainment, politics or civil society.
Departure from Benjamin Sportouch. The head of the station’s political department, who hosted “Le Grand Jury RTL-LCI-Le Figaro” on Sundays since 2017, leaves RTL to devote himself exclusively to the program “28 minutes”, on Arte, where he conducts interviews with Elisabeth Quin since 2018.
