The riders of the Tour de France have just started the Tomblaine – La Super Planche des Belles Filles stage. 7:50 a.m.- What happened yesterday ?
The Tour de France peloton arrived yesterday in Lorraine via the Meuse, before finishing the stage in the north of Meurthe-et-Moselle, in Longwy, as in 2017. Leaving from Binche in Belgium, the riders experienced the longest stage of this Tour, with 219.9 km on the clock. It was the untouchable Slovenian Tadej Pogacar who settled the sprint of the leading group reduced to around twenty runners. He took the yellow jersey at the same time.
7:45 a.m.- How La Planche des Belles Filles became a must in the Tour

This summit of the Vosges massif is a new must-see in the Tour de France: in ten years, it has welcomed six stage finishes, compared to none before! Since 2012, the date of its first appearance on the Tour, the yellow jerseys have indeed been confirmed there or, on the contrary, defeated. Classified in the 1st category, the Planche saw the victory of Christopher Froome in 2012, Vincenzo Nibali in 2014, Fabio Aru in 2017, Dylan Teuns in 2019 and Tadej Pogacar in 2020.
